Let’s Take a Magic Carpet Ride

What would a client look like if they were a Business Monitor Treasure?

This was the question Dianne and I asked ourselves in a meeting last week as we contemplated a new business initiative.

Analysis of clients we have worked with over the past two years resulted in the following observations:

  1. Most clients come to us to solve an immediate compliance or accreditation problem,

  2. Most problems are a short-term fix - we see bigger issues, but the client doesn’t always agree,

  3. A percentage of clients continually reference back to us or become engaged for continuing support to manage risk and compliance.

And so, the notion of a Business Monitor Treasure was born.

All the “Treasures”' started with a problem but, instead of just getting a solution and moving on, they have each chosen to take a proactive step to build compliance, risk management and business best practice to the next level for their company.

These businesses range from international multi-sector players to a micro-business and everything in between - including an industry Association, government departments and a sports club.

These are the jewels for our business.

Not because they are our largest income stream, but because they believe in establishing and maintaining a best practice business in their field.

Like Aladdin, we work constantly to grant them three wishes:

  • build legislation and compliance shifts seamlessly into the business,

  • strengthen their risk strategies against such changes and,

  • deliver a magic carpet ride toward maximising business success!

The Aladdin’s Cave Bottle House in Dubbo inspired this story and the image is from my visit - thank you!
