Untangle the language of worker engagement

After publishing the worker classification discussion last month Business Monitor has been dealing with one of the biggest challenges in client discussions unravelling the language used in:

  • their everyday conversations to describe their workforce

  • what they pitch on their website

  • what their agreements with those workers say

  • how the workers describe themselves

  • and last, but not least, where the descriptions and interpretations evolve from.

Like a ball of wool a kitten has had so much fun playing with, the threads need to be gently tugged, carefully untangled and then laid out to see what the real story is.

In a number of cases it has looked quite different to what our client believed to be correct. Then comes the hard part, discussions with the workforce and clients.

This is a fascinating exercise, overlaid by updates to a number state and federal legislation and, more importantly a real desire by the businesses who see our assistance to get it right and that is a move in the right direction!

So, as the EOFY approaches and reviews and renewals are being considered now is the perfect time to book a comprehensive iEngage Assessment with us and see if there is any untangling needed. Book a Discovery Moment to discuss how this might work for your business.
